Why I’m Hosting a Book Exchange
And why you should come!
As a realtor, I spend a lot of time talking about homes—buying them, selling them, and everything in between. But there’s something even more important to me than transactions: connections. I believe that real estate, at its core, is about relationships, and I want to build those relationships in ways that go beyond contracts and closings. That’s why I’m hosting a book exchange event, and I’d love for you to be a part of it!
More Than Just Real Estate
Of course, I love helping people find the perfect home, but I also want to connect on a personal level. We all have interests outside of work, and for me, one of those passions is books. Whether you’re a thriller fanatic, a self-improvement junkie, or someone who just enjoys a good novel, a book exchange is the perfect way to come together, share stories (literally!), and get to know each other beyond the typical real estate conversations.
Friendship First, Business Second
I truly believe that when we build friendships first, working together—whether in real estate or any other aspect of life—feels more natural. This event isn’t about networking or sales; it’s about fostering a sense of community. Whether or not we ever work together in real estate, I want to create spaces where people feel comfortable, connected, and part of something bigger.
Supporting Other Small Businesses
Another goal of this event is to highlight other local small businesses. Colorado Springs is full of amazing entrepreneurs, and I want to use this book exchange as a way to introduce you to some of them. Maybe next time, we’ll have a local coffee shop providing drinks, a bookstore showcasing their latest finds, or a handmade goods vendor adding a special touch to the event. The hope is to grow this into something that not only connects book lovers but also uplifts our local business community.
Giving Back to Our Library
One of the most meaningful parts of this event is the opportunity to support our local library. Any books that don’t get exchanged will be donated to the Colorado Springs Library, ensuring that great reads find new homes where they’re needed. On top of that, if anyone wishes to contribute, cash donations will also go directly to the library. This way, we’re not just sharing books—we’re supporting literacy and community resources for everyone.
Join Me!
Whether you want to find a new book, meet new people, or just have a relaxed and fun time, I hope you’ll join me for this book exchange. Let’s build a community that’s about more than just business—one that’s about friendships, shared passions, and giving back.
See you there!
